Join us for an introduction to wheel throwing that is open to both beginners and intermediate students, even if you have experience, Mariah will happily meet you where you are at, and work together from there. We will cover throwing posture and safety, centering skills and techniques, and we will cover cylinders, bowls, and practicing with varying amounts of clay to be working with. We will also cover surface design techniques including carving, sgraffito, mishima, underglaze inlay as well as how to use the over glazes that make everything food safe, all of your work has the potential to be functional and used daily. All materials are included.
