What to Expect at Your First Class
Your first class at The Pottery Den is all about trying something new, getting a little messy, and having fun in a relaxed, supportive environment—no experience needed!
When you arrive, your instructor will walk you through the basics and give a quick demo of the techniques you’ll be using. Then you’ll jump in and start creating your own pieces, with plenty of guidance along the way.
Expect a bit of a learning curve—especially on the wheel! Pottery can be challenging at first, but that’s part of the experience. The goal isn’t perfection, it’s enjoying the process and learning something new.
We provide all the materials you’ll need, including clay, tools, and aprons. Just wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty.
By the end of class, you may have created a piece you like and want to keep, or you will have multiple times to keep trying!
Most importantly, expect a laid-back, creative atmosphere where you can unwind, meet new people, and enjoy working with your hands.
